This 50/50 blend brings together our Sunset Decaf and Union Blend, and it’s our nod to one of Pittsburgh’s astounding 446 bridges. A major part of Pittsburgh’s past, the Hot Metal Bridge was once used to transport molten metal across the Monongahela River. Today the bridge has a new, sustainable use as a bike and pedestrian walkway. This ecofriendly blend has a chocolaty aroma with flavors of cocoa nibs and hints of lemon and berry. The overall cup is balanced with moderate acidity, medium body, and a dry finish. This is a great choice for those looking to cut back on caffeine without sacrificing taste. Perfect for carrying yourself over an afternoon slump, let this balanced blend be your bridge to the end of the work day.  12 oz.

This Fair Trade Organic coffee is just the right combo of Central American, Indonesian and African beans to produce a classic Italian style espresso with our own little twist.  This coffee is chocolatey, nutty, full bodied, modestly acidic, slightly sweet with a crisp clean finish.  It makes for a great espresso but is also smooth enough for any type of brewing method.

Sumatran coffees are known for their unique earthy flavor and this organic, fairly-traded bean is no exception. On the nose you’ll enjoy hints of cocoa, berry and clove. Who says decaf can’t taste just as good as regular coffee? This Fair Trade Organic, Honduran decaf, really surprised us! It is hands down one of the best decafs we’ve tasted. Unlike traditional decafs which use chemicals in the decaffeination process, our Sunset Decaf uses the Mountain Water Process where the beans are soaked in only natural, mountain, spring water to extract caffeine. It works great as a dark roast, and we can detect delicious chocolate brownie and almond with a hint of lemon in each cup.  12 oz

In this powerful, medium dark organic coffee, three different single origins are united. Earthy and fruity aromas, with flavors of chocolate mousse. Whiskey Coffee

Whiskey Barrel-Aged Coffee

ROAST: Medium Dark

We are proud to announce the limited release of our Whiskey Barrel-Aged coffee!  We aged raw, single-origin, Peruvian beans for over two months in rye whiskey, barrels furnished by Pittsburgh’s Wigle Whiskey, an organic distillery.  We periodically rolled the barrels during the aging process to ensure maximum exposure of all green beans to the aromatic sides.  After aging the green beans, we slow-roast them just after first crack, to a medium, which we feel produces the perfect balance of whiskey and coffee flavor.  Match it up against the real thing, and let us know if we’ve done our job.  It is the perfect compliment to a chocolaty dessert or morning pastry and tastes great with milk and maple syrup.

Tastes of chocolate, sweet tobacco and whiskey. Overall cup – very aromatic, mildly bright, with a smooth velvety body and long whiskey finish.
