We are proud to announce the limited release of our Whiskey Barrel-Aged coffee! We aged raw, single-origin, Peruvian beans for over two months in rye whiskey, barrels furnished by Pittsburgh’s Wigle Whiskey, an organic distillery. We periodically rolled the barrels during the aging process to ensure maximum exposure of all green beans to the aromatic sides. After aging the green beans, we slow-roast them just after first crack, to a medium, which we feel produces the perfect balance of whiskey and coffee flavor. Match it up against the real thing, and let us know if we’ve done our job. It is the perfect compliment to a chocolaty dessert or morning pastry and tastes great with milk and maple syrup.
Tastes of chocolate, sweet tobacco and whiskey. Overall cup – very aromatic, mildly bright, with a smooth velvety body and long whiskey finish.
